Good morning day Dolphin fans! The Miami Dolphins were back on the field today 3 days before heading to Chicago for joint practices. Today’s practice was closed off to the public which featured fireworks from the offense and consistent disruption from a dominating defense throughout camp.

Let’s start on offense, Tua Tagovailoa was aggressive pushing the ball downfield, hitting on two of four deep attempts. The highlight throws were a pair of 50-yard touchdowns—one to Tyreek Hill and another to Malik Washington, who beat Kendall Sheffield in coverage. Tua also hit a pass to Waddle as well. Tagovailoa has been one of the most consistent players through camp. Cutting up the defense and taking advantage of what the defense gives him. Right now, Malik Washington is the lead for WR3 with him making plays always at the right time. Rookie quarterback Quinn Ewers made a notable play in team drills, finding Theo Wease on a perfectly placed 25-yard touchdown pass over cornerback Isaiah Johnson.

Young star running back De’Von Achane keeps improving his game as a receiver. Achane will be a favorite during fantasy football as he will be getting the ball a lot this year, both in the run game and pass game. Second year back Jaylen Wright also impressed, scoring two touchdowns on the ground, him making plays only helps him standout more in a talented running back room.

Tight end Tanner Connor has been a camp surprise with his play making. With Alec Ingold out with a concussion, Connor will be getting more reps at fullback and currently at tight end.

Defensively, Chop Robinson has been leading the pass rushing group all training camp. Chop was again, causing disruption today. The recently extended Zach Sieler wore the orange jersey today and continued to dominate and lead the defensive front.

Rookie defensive tackle Jordan Phillips made a couple of plays along with Grayson Murphy getting a sack. Murphy has been making plays, and he will be a player to watch during preseason games. Mo Kamara got a sack and stuffed a run play.

After practice featured players spoke with the media. Safety Patrick McMorris mentioned how he has been picking Minkah Fitzpatrick’s brain. Having Fitzpatrick be a leader and supporting younger players is a part of a winning formula to help this defense grow on and off the field. Linebacker Jaelen Phillips says that his leg is good after getting a bruise.

With the passing game booming and the pass rush doing their thing today, camp for the Dolphins this week has gotten off to a great start. The team will be back on the field tomorrow where the public can attend, right before heading to Chicago for joint practices with the Bears.
