WEST PALM BEACH – Loyalty is literally everything to Jeshon Ingraham.
As one of the most consistent and impactful players in Palm Beach County, the Palm Beach Lakes senior defensive back has been motivated by a loving and caring coaching staff and environment these past three-plus years. It’s a testament to how great the Rams program has been over the years.
Ingraham will absolutely not accept anything less than that from any coaching staff on the next level.
After receiving an in-home visit earlier this week from Tennessee State and taking an official visit there this weekend, it was clear what Ingraham wanted to do from there. He went ahead on his Twitter page to proudly announce his pledge to Tennessee State.
Ingraham, who was ranked as our No. 2 defensive back and No. 20 overall player in Palm Beach County, had 10 offers on the table and chose Tennessee State over the likes of Minnesota, Boston College, FAU, and FIU.
The 6-2, 175-pound impact player kept it succinct when it came to his reason for going with Tennessee State.
“The love is here,” Ingraham said of Tennessee State’s coaching staff and environment.
Palm Beach Lakes assistant coach Obrian Edwards went further in how Ingraham conducted his evaluation of college football teams.
“They must really have a good coaching staff because he only plays for people he feel are genuine,” Edwards said. “He’s very loyal and knows what he wants.”
Edwards provided his own take on Ingraham.
“Jeshon is a great young man that loves playing football,” Edwards said. “He’s a three-year varsity letterman. He’s still growing into himself and has a very, very high ceiling.”
Palm Beach Lakes head coach and reigning Lou Groza High School Coach of the Year Al Shipman summed up Ingraham’s recruiting process.
“I just know that it was a difficult decision to make but one that needed to be made,” Shipman said. “Tennessee State has done a great job recruiting. I believe it’s a good fit for the situation.”
Tennessee State will now have Ingraham and linebacker Micaiah Joseph (Atlantic 2020 early signee) as our Palm Beach County players for the next 3-5 years. Ingraham is the highest rated 2020 hard commit for the HBCU institution, according to 247Sports.com.
The three-star standout is rated as the nation’s No. 206 cornerback and the state’s No. 314-ranked overall player, per 247sports.com.
