DELRAY BEACH – Da’Marion Alberic is officially on the move.

The dual position running back and wide receiver from Atlantic High School announced his commitment to UMass earlier this afternoon (June 19) on Twitter.

This comes just days after his official visit to UMass, which comes a month after they extended the offer to him.

It was quite a junior year for Alberic.

He helped the Atlantic Eagles claim the District 9-3M title over Dwyer, make a convincing win over a rising squad in Plantation in the opening round of state playoffs, and reach the 3M regional semifinals against eventual state champion St. Thomas Aquinas.

However, it didn’t stop there.

Alberic became Atlantic’s only player on the roster to break the 1,000 all-purpose yard mark. And earlier this month, he was the recipient of the Palm Beach Post’s Courage Award, which is given to the athlete who has overcome adversity and has given us all a story that we can be inspired by.

His offseason has been quite an active one. Apart from visiting UMass, Alberic has taken part of the FAU 7v7 Tournament in Boca Raton with Atlantic (Delray Beach), where they reached the fourth round of the pool.

Alberic had offers from two others schools – Eastern Kentucky and East Tennessee State.
