Domination: Martin County flag football stays unbeaten

JENSEN BEACH – A matchup with spectacular defensive performances from both teams, No. 1 Martin County (7-0) now stays on top and remains undefeated with a 20-13 win over No. 10 Jensen Beach (2-7) on Tuesday night (March 28).

Jensen Beach’s offense struggles to make an approach and end up getting intercepted by Taylor Murray.

Martin County’s offense made attempts for a first down, but ended up punting the ball to Jensen Beach.

Jensen Beach managed to gain yards, but ended up returning the ball to Martin County.

Martin County then scored the first touchdown in the second quarter of the game with a throw from Cali Scornavacca to Hailey Walsh. The Tigers gained the extra point by a catch from Natalie Belisle.

Jensen Beach’s offense stepped up on the next drive and scored its own touchdown against Martin County with a pass from Paige Bressman to Mia Quiles. But the Falcons failed to receive the extra point.

With three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter, Jensen Beach took the lead with a perfect touchdown from Yasmin Newson. It gained the extra point by a catch from Kayla Carnes.

Martin County scored a touchdown in the final two minutes of the game with a catch by Belisle and took back the lead with the extra point by Walsh.

In the last minute of the game, Martin County’s defense prevented Jensen Beach from getting past the 40-yard line.

Martin County stole and intercepted the ball with Walsh going in for a touchdown. But it ends up not getting the extra point.

With mere seconds left, Martin County once again intercepted the Jensen Beach offense and secure the win with a QB kneel play.

Martin County is now in for a dominator match-up against No. 7 Okeechobee (6-0), who also remains undefeated. It will face the Lady Brahmans team at home with a start time set for 6 p.m.
