BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. – The King’s Academy rallied from an early deficit to pull away from Boynton Beach High School, using a dominant second-half performance to secure a 35-3 victory.
After torrential rain and lightning plundered the county last week forcing the Lions homecoming game against Inlet Grove to be cut short, Kings looked to bring the action
Running back Elam led the Lions’ offensive attack with three rushing touchdowns, including a pair of explosive runs that helped turn a close contest into a comfortable win.
After trailing 3-0 to start the game the momentum swung back their way as Sean Victor intercepted a Boynton Beach pass to halt a drive and prevent the Tigers from extending the lead.
King’s Academy took a 7-3 lead in the second quarter when Elam broke outside for a 25-yard touchdown run with 5:52 remaining in the period.
The Lions found another gear after the break. Tome scored on a 30-yard screen pass to extend the lead to 14-3 with 10:45 remaining in the third quarter. Elam followed with a 52-yard touchdown run, pushing King’s Academy’s advantage to 21-3 with 8:32 left in the period.

Driggers added to the lead with a 2-yard touchdown run, making it 28-3 with 8:57 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Elam capped the scoring with a 57-yard touchdown run, his third rushing score of the night and fourth touchdown overall, extending the Lions’ lead to 35-3 with 4:35 remaining.
After a competitive first half, King’s Academy’s explosive rushing attack and timely defensive play proved decisive. The Lions scored repeatedly on big plays after halftime, while Victor’s interception helped keep Boynton Beach from building momentum.
King’s Academy’s balanced scoring effort, highlighted by Elam’s four total touchdowns and the contributions of Tome and Driggers, powered the Lions to a 32-point victory.
The Lions end the season with a perfect 10-0 record, securing their first undefeated regular season since 2016 exactly ten years ago.
TKA sits at the top of the SSAA Atlantic Division as the number one ranked team and they will be looking to use all the momentum coming into playoffs.
