Missed this season with injury. Averaged 13.4 PPG, 7.1 RPG as a freshman at North Florida in 2024-25. https://t.co/fnXDZEoOhn pic.twitter.com/3qRNOrXiuT
Harris, a Pembroke Pines native, started his college career at North Florida, where he averaged 13.4 points and 7.1 rebounds on a terrific 55% shooting from the field and was named the Atlantic-Sun Freshman of the Year in the 2024-25 season. He then transferred to Indiana, where he did not play this past season due to injury.
Harris will bring much-needed size to FAU’s frontcourt as he stands 6-foot-8 and weighs 225 lbs. As far as his skillset goes, he mostly plays inside the arc as roughly 80% of Harris’s shots at North Florida came at the rim. The forward also excels on the offensive glass, where he ranked inside the top-75 in offensive rebounds in 2024-25.
Aside from being athletic, lengthy, and bringing a great presence around the basket, Harris also has shown the ability to step out and knock down threes every now and again, where he shot 33% from the 3-point line with the Ospreys.
This is another great add from John Jakus via the portal as Josh Harris should be a sure-fire starter at the 3 or 4 spot for the Owls next season.
Welcome to Paradise, Josh!
