Boca Raton, FL.- The 2024-25 NCAA Basketball season has flown by.
This weekend (March 13-17), the 13 men’s basketball teams of the American Athletic Conference will be facing off in Fort Worth, Texas to compete for a conference title, and a bid to the NCAA Tournament. On Tuesday (March 11), the AAC announced their 2024/25 season All Conference Regular Season Honors, and the Florida Atlantic Owls were properly represented with the accolades.
In the first season of the John Jakus era of Owls’ basketball, FAU finished the season 17-14, securing their 7th consecutive winning season. The Owls ended the season 5th in AAC standings, with a deep conference tournament push on the horizon.
Florida Atlantic’s awards were headlined by Junior Forward Tre Carroll‘s “three peat” of AAC honors. Carroll earned Second Team All Conference honors, alongside Co Most Improved Player honors (Moulaye Sissoko, Sr., F, North Texas) and was the first recipient of the Amir Abdur-Rahim Sportsmanship Award. In 2024/25, Tre recorded 12.2 PPG, 5.5 Rebounds per game and 1.6 Assists per game.
Tre wasn’t the only Owl listed on the Second Team All Conference team, as Forwards Baba Miller and Kaleb Glenn also received nominations. Baba Miller, a 6 foot 11 junior from Spain recorded 11.2 PPG and 7 Rebounds per game. Kaleb Glenn, a 6 foot 7 sophomore recorded 12.8 PPG and 4.9 Rebounds per game coming off the bench.
Owls’ True Freshman Center: Matas Vokietaitis received Conference Freshman of the Year honors, alongside a selection to the All Freshman Team via unanimous selection. This season, the 7 footer from Lithuania appeared in all 31 games, recording 9.5 PPG and 5.3 Rebounds per game.
