FHSAA High School Football State Final Series: Multiple regions reach summit

TALLAHASSEE – We have officially reached the end of the 2023 high school football season.

And with that, nine teams have won state titles from South Florida to North Florida.

Here is a list of the FHSAA state championship winners:

4M: Columbus (Miami) – Finished the season with a 13-2 record after earning a 38-19 win over Mandarin (Jacksonville) (11-4 final record)

4S: Lakeland – Finished the season with a 12-3 record after earning a 60-48 win over Venice (12-3 final record)

3M: St. Thomas Aquinas – Finished the season with a 14-1 record after earning a 31-28 win over Homestead (12-2 final record)

3S: Mainland (Dayton Beach) – Finished the season with a 14-1 record after earning a 21-19 win over St. Augustine (13-1 final record)

2M: Berkeley Prep (Tampa) – Finished the season with a 13-2 record after earning a 28-20 win over Norland (Miami) (14-1 final record)

2S: Cocoa  Finished the season with a 14-1 record after earning a 20-6 win over Bradford (Starke) (14-1 final record)

1M: Chaminade-Madonna (Hollywood) – Finished the season with a 14-0 record after earning a 56-0 win over Clearwater Central Catholic (Clearwater) (13-1 final record)

1S: Cardinal Mooney (Sarasota) – Finished the season with a 12-2 record after earning a 31-27 win over Trinity Catholic (Ocala) (6-8 final record)

1R: Hawthorne – Finished the season with a 13-0 record after earning a 22-13 win over Madison County (10-2 final record)

St. Thomas Aquinas: Five straight state titles; 15 state titles overall (FHSAA state records)

Hawthorne: 25-game winning streak with two consecutive Class 1R state titles (best run in school history)
