FHSAA RPI ratings: Palm Beach Central jumps up to No. 5 overall in Week 2

GAINESVILLE – As everyone should know by now, Palm Beach Central is the undisputed No. 1-ranked team in Palm Beach County.

Coming off its bye in Week 5, the Broncos (4-0) received a boost today (Sept. 29) in the second iteration of this year’s FHSAA RPI ratings. They are currently sitting at No. 5 overall in the state, which is a five-spot jump from last week’s initial position at No. 10.

No other team in Palm Beach County is in the FHSAA RPI’s Top 50.

Guess who is at No. 2 in our area?

It is Dwyer (3-1), which moves up 23 spots from last week’s initial rating of 88. Our area’s No. 3-ranked team is currently sitting at No. 65 in the FHSAA’s latest RPI ratings.

Right behind Dwyer is Cardinal Newman (2-2), which zooms up a whopping 99 spots from No. 166 to No. 67 in this iteration. The Crusaders are sitting at No. 10 in our latest combined team rankings.

Also in the FHSAA RPI Top 100 is Benjamin (3-1), which somehow flew up 56 spots from No. 132 to No. 76 this week.

Behind Benjamin is Boca Raton (3-1), which moves up 17 spots from No. 114 to No. 97.

In all, our area has five teams in this week’s FHSAA RPI Top 100.
