Miami, FLA. — FIU Football will be featured in six nationally televised games during the 2025 season, as announced Thursday in conjunction with Conference USA’s broadcast schedule release.
The 2025 campaign marks the beginning of a new era under head coach Willie Simmons, and it includes several high-profile matchups. The Panthers’ national TV slate includes three games on CBS Sports Network (CBSSN), two on ESPNU, and a Sept. 6 road game at Penn State airing on the Big Ten Network (BTN). This matches the program’s record for most nationally broadcasted games in a season, set in 2023.
FIU’s multiple appearances on ESPNU mark the first time since 2020 the program will be featured twice on ESPN’s premier college sports channel. The game against Penn State continues a trend, making it the second consecutive season the Panthers appear on BTN, following their 2024 opener at Indiana.
The Willie Simmons era will officially kick off on Thursday, Aug. 29, as the Panthers host Bethune-Cookman at 7 p.m. at Pitbull Stadium, streaming on ESPN+. FIU then travels to Happy Valley for a marquee matchup against Penn State on Sept. 6, set for a noon kickoff on BTN.
FIU returns to Miami for a Week 3 rivalry showdown against Florida Atlantic on Sept. 13 at 6 p.m., also on ESPN+. The Panthers remain at home in Week 4, hosting new Conference USA member Delaware on Sept. 20 at 6 p.m., with coverage on ESPN platforms.
A pivotal stretch begins in October, as the Panthers are featured in four straight nationally televised games:
- Oct. 4 at UConn – 3:30 p.m. on CBSSN
- Oct. 14 at WKU – 8 p.m. on ESPNU
- Oct. 21 vs. Kennesaw State – 7 p.m. on ESPNU
- Oct. 29 at Missouri State – 8 p.m. on CBSSN
The Panthers head into November with a road game at Middle Tennessee on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m., followed by Homecoming against Liberty on Nov. 15 at 5 p.m., with both airing on ESPN platforms.
FIU’s final nationally televised game of the regular season will be their home finale vs. Jacksonville State on Nov. 22 at 3:30 p.m. on CBSSN. The regular season concludes with a Nov. 29 matchup at Sam Houston at 1 p.m., airing on ESPN platforms.
This season also marks the continuation of Conference USA’s successful Weekday Football model during October, with 10 games airing on CBSSN and eight on ESPN2/ESPNU.
All games listed under ESPN platforms are subject to the 12-day selection window, with kickoff times subject to change. Additional national television selections will be announced as they are finalized.
The 2025 Conference USA Championship Game is scheduled for Friday, Dec. 5, airing on CBSSN at 6 p.m. CT.
