Boca Raton, FL.- Zach Kittley and the Florida Atlantic Owls have locked in their first commitment of the 2027 high school recruitment class in Tommy ‘TJ’ Scott. Scott, a 5 foot 9 scatt back from Sumner High School (Riverview, FL) chose the Owls over Rhode Island and Bowling Green.

When asked about what helped the Owls stand out in his recruitment, TJ highlighted the familial bonds he feels across the program:

“One of the biggest things that stuck out to me about FAU is how the coaches make you feel at home, the environment makes me feel amazing feels like I’m really at home…..My relationship with the coaches is very strong and I can’t wait to make it better! They just welcomed me in from the jump and made my family and I feel at home”

Speed is the name of the game for TJ Scott. During his junior season, Scott flew past the competition, averaging 10 yards per carry and recording 5 total touchdowns. It’s not just game speed for the 5 foot 9 bullet, as just a few weeks ago Tommy threw down a blazing fast 10.5 100M dash, one of the fastest times in the state.

“The biggest strength in my game is my speed. I have the ability to blow right past people and turn nothing plays in to big time plays.”

The recently committed Tommy Scott has already penned in an Official Visit back to Boca Raton, as he plans to come down the weekend of June 5-7. When asked about what he is looking forward to the most chad of the visit, TJ shared with me that building relationships are everything.

“The thing I’m most excited about is meeting new people, hanging out with my new teammates, and having great talks with coaches while having the college experience.”
