Gainesville, FL.- Billy Napier and the Florida Gators have proved the doubters wrong all season.

Leading into this season, many scouts and analysts saw the gauntlet of Hell called the Gators schedule, and projected a 2-10 season. As the regular season is coming to a close, the Gators currently sit at 6-5, with “upset” wins over two of the SEC’s top programs in two consecutive weeks (LSU, Ol Miss). After ending Playoff dreams for two SEC rivals, Coach Napier and his staff doubled down, by hosting two very promising recruiting weekends, locking down flipped commitments from South Florida’s top prospects.

This summer, the Gators secured commitments to form a lethal receiver tandem of 5-Star Vernell Brown from Jones High in Orlando, Florida, and 4-Star Nae’Shaun Montgomery from Central (Miami). Florida kept the Crib as a recruiting pool, by locking down 4-Star DB Ben Hanks Jr. from Booker T. Washington in Miami. All three of these aforementioned ballers currently stand as top five recruits in the Gators’ 2025 class.

Over the last few weekends, The Gators went back down to South Florida, hosting and flipping multiple big time recruits from our area.

On Tuesday, November 19, the Gators flipped 3-Star IOL Daniel Pierre-Louis from Florida State. Pierre-Louis, a 6 foot 4 Guard has been one of the top linemen in Palm Beach County over the past few seasons. He possesses a very good frame, alongside violent hands and a powerful kickstep. Daniel’s pro-style traits make him a force to be reckoned with in both run blocking and pass protection.

Florida followed Daniel’s commitment up, by securing another commit flip, this time from his Seminole Ridge teammate, 4-Star LB Ty Jackson. Jackson, a 6 foot 2 Linebacker is one of the most complete defensive prospects in this class. Ty possesses elite field awareness and football IQ, as well as a physical tackling ability that does NOT make you want to get back up. Ty was named as the Pre-Season #1 player by both ESPN WPB and New Era Prep. Jackson was formerly committed to the University of South California.

This Morning, the Gators flipped another FSU commit, 4-Star RB Byron Louis from American Heritage (Plantation). Louis, a shifty 6 foot back from Broward County is one of the top RB prospects in the country. Louis is a workhorse 3 down back, being able to drive through contact, and has open field track speed.

The Florida Gators 2025 class is looking extremely lethal just ten days before National Signing Day (December 6). Florida now stands at the #17 overall recruiting class in the Country, per the 24/7 Composite.
