Indianapolis, Indiana- The NFL Draft is a blank storybook, where only you are the author of your story,

Every year, the top collegiate prospects train and travel to Indianapolis to compete in the NFL Combine. While at the combine, players interview with NFL scouts and the media, while performing position specific drills.

During February 29th’s Defensive Linemen and Linebacker drills, one school stood unconquered above the rest: Florida State.

FSU had five Seminoles participate in drills today: Defensive Linemen Jared Verse, Braden Fiske and Fabien Lovett Sr. and Linebackers Kalen Deloach and Tatum Bethune. During the workouts, these five ‘Noles stood out amongst college football’s best.

The highlight of this afternoon came from edge rushed Jared Verse. Verse, coming off of a First Team All-ACC and Second Team All-American (ESPN) campaign showed why he’s the top defensive line prospect in this class. Tonight, Jared Verse recorded a 4.58 40 yard dash (3rd Edge), 35 inch vertical jump, 10’7” broad jump (4th Edge) During the on field drills, Jared displayed elite power and athleticism as he dominated block shedding tests.

Verse’s teammate, Braden Fiske, also had a day today. Fiske recorded a 4.78 40 yard dash (1st DT) as well as a 33.5” vertical (1st DT) and a 9’9” broad jump (1st DT). Like Verse, Braden Fiske showed he possessed the speed and power necessary to defeat opposing linemen.

The third Seminole, Fabien Lovett Sr. dominated the on field drills. Lovett was fast twitch and aggressive on the field, ripping through blocking pads. Kalen DeLoach’s 4.47 40 yard dash ranked him second among linebackers. Both DeLoach and Bethune shined in the on field drills, as they displayed elite footwork and quick decision making.

It’s safe to say that this FSU draft class is one to remember, as the ‘Noles are only just getting started.
