COLLEGE PARK, GA – Florida vs Georgia meet and greet.

The Florida versus Georgia All-Star game will be played today Saturday, Jan 6, 2018 at Southern Crescent Stadium outside of Atlanta, GA where kickoff is set for 2 p.m.

Last night the teams met for the first time and things were pretty interesting after the team dinner.

Joint interviews were set up between student athletes from each team. Each student athlete explained their reasoning as to why their state is the best in football.

Transcript of the interviews below:

Session 1:

Team Georgia DB Ja’Luntray Hatcher

It’s an honor to play in this game. I want to thank God, my family, coaches, and everybody.

I feel like I’m the best man. He’s going to have to come with it and show me what he’s about.

Georgia is where it’s at. Georgia is where all the ballers at. When asked how he will guard Corey Gammage, Ja’Luntray said he’ll play man and man up on Corey.

Team Florida WR Corey Gammage

I feel the same way. Family, coaches… it’s a blessing to be here.

I haven’t really watched film on him (Ja’Luntray) so we’ll just have to see on the field. May the best man win.

Corey stated South Florida all the way when asked which state has the best talent.

When asked how he felt about being guarded man, Corey went on to state… him guarding me… no.

Session 2:

Team GA WR Jamarcus McCoy

It’s an great honor to play in this game. I want to thank God, my family, and everybody that put me in this position.

Obviously Georgia has the best talent, c’mon we just made it to the super bowl and going into the college (NCAA national championship game).

Tre is going to have to come with it, I fear no man but God. That’s it.

Team Florida DB Tre Jackson

It’s feels great to be able to play in this game, it’s an honor to be selected, and it’s a great chance for me to get myself better.

Florida is like another breed. We’re just too fast, physical, and better overall.

If I’m guarding Jamarcus, I don’t think he’ll be able to catch a ball on me to be honest but we’ll see what happens.

Session 3:

Team Georgia DL Jeremiah Bozeman

I just like competition. If he feels that way, then I’m ready.

Off rip, Georgia is the best and better than everyone. Florida has the speed but Georgia is good at everything.

Willie is a big dude and I’m a short dude, so I’m going to come around the corner on him with my speed.

Team Florida OL Willie Canty

I’m not one of the best offensive lineman, I am the best.

We’re going to come out here, play muck city football. I’m coming to dominate whoever in front of me, I don’t care who in front of me.

Florida! produces the best talent. To be honest, before you even ask the question (inaudible sound with hand gesture). Everything in Florida is good, South Florida at that!

Jeremiah is talking reckless right now! I let my film do the talking. That’s all you got to do. Put my name in the internet.

End of interview transcript.

Willie and Jeremiah probably had the most entertaining interviews of the night we had a chance to interview some the administrators of the game.

Team Florida assistant coach Stud shared his thoughts about the Florida Versus Georgia game.

“I’m happy to be here doing what I love to do and giving back to the kids. It’s a wonderful feeling and blessing to be here.”

Glades Central Athletic Director KD Fletcher shared her thoughts on the game also.

“It’s a good experience. The kids want to be here and wanted AD KD here so I came. I’m trying my best to help the kids out by getting some college coaches to come out or watch the game.”

KD Fletcher spoke about why the student athletes gravitate towards her.

“I’ve been doing his recruitment thing for a long time, I started out at FIU with Mario Cristobal. Once I came to Glades Central they saw the growth of signing days and things of that nature and in turn that showed the kids I have their best interest. I want nothing in return, I’m satisfied with knowing the kids are living out their dreams and doing what they love to do. It’s my job to help student athletes whether it be football, soccer, basketball, softball, it’s all the same.”

Florida versus Georgia All Star game organizer Jamael Stewart weighed in and shared his thoughts on everything surrounding the game and sponsorship.

“I want to thank chick-fil-a for all the food they have supplied it’s been great. Seven sports bar and lounge catered the entire team dinner tonight, it was lovely. I can’t wait to see the guys out on the field tomorrow.”

Jamael was also asked how could up and coming seniors be selected for the Florida versus Georgia game and outlined the process.

“Listen. Do what you have to do in the classroom first then go out on the field and let your film speak for itself. Keep checking our website (floridavsgeorgiaallstars.com). We have a nomination form, we email out nomination forms to coaches, other people in the community can also nominate you, or you can nominate yourself.”

This will be the sixth meeting between the Florida and Georgia teams, there has definitely been a build up this time around. Both teams will look to represent their state and showcase their talents.

If you aren’t able to make the trip to the game you can watch the live stream of the game on youtube.
