Former Bulls sign deals after the NFL Draft

Former USF Bulls cornerback De’Shawn Rucker signed a deal with the Detroit Lions.

During his time at South Florida, Rucker played 24 games, recorded 100 tackles and one interception. In addition, to being selected to the First Team American All-Conference in 2025.

Long snapper Garrett Cates was invited to rookie minicamp by the New York Jets.

Cates played 26 games as the starting long snapper. USF kickers went 13-of-19 on field goals (4-7 over 40 yards) and 49-of-50 on PAT attempts.

Defensive lineman Josh Celiscar was invited to rookie minicamp by the Las Vegas Raiders.

In his lone season with the Bulls, Celiscar put up 34 tackles and received Third Team American All-Conference Honors.
