FORT LAUDERDALE – Waden Charles is one of the top overall players right now in the Class of 2025.
Yes, it may be way too early to make this claim. But it is clear that few other players in Palm Beach County have made the same level of strides as a freshman.
All one needs to do is go by this past weekend’s Rivals Camp Combine Series (Mar. 12-13), which took place at St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale.
In what is widely deemed as the nation’s premier individual offseason showcase, the Somerset Academy Canyons wide receiver wowed the Rivals.com evaluators in more ways than one.
Here are the numbers that Charles posted in Day 2 of Rivals Camp:
•10 reps in 1-on-1’s
•Won 7 of 10 reps in Sunday’s action
The 6-foot-3, 180-pound wide receiver spoke on his Rivals Camp experience.
“The Rivals event was a good way for me to put myself out there and get better as a player,” Charles said. “All of the coaches that were out there helped me out a lot and I learned a lot of new things. The transitions from each group were clean and very organized. Overall I had a great time.”
Charles finished his freshman season at Somerset Canyons with 34 catches for a team-high 599 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He has one offer right now from Toledo.
