The Wellington Wolverines will look to end a two game losing streak when they host the Garcia Bulldogs this Friday at 6:30 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup with something to prove, and last year’s meeting a 7-0 Wellington victory suggests another close contest could be ahead.
For Garcia, offensive chemistry continues to grow between quarterback Caleb Butler and his receivers. Zion Vilma has emerged as a faster and stronger target this season, while Vincent Lewis has also built a reliable connection with Butler, giving the Bulldogs more balance in the passing game.

Defensively, the Bulldogs’ linebacker corps has been the heart of the team. Jeremiah Celian, Dominic Luchina, Cole Vadderot, and Drew Rosenbaum have been consistent playmakers. Luchina’s fumble recovery returned for a touchdown last game showed the group’s ability to change games on both sides of the ball.
Wellington, meanwhile, is looking to rebound after consecutive losses, including a tough 19-12 defeat to Palm Beach Lakes. The Wolverines still feature key weapons. Freshman wide receiver Tarrens Catul leads the offense with 49.3 receiving yards per game, while senior quarterback Jonathan Paul averages 31.3 rushing yards per game and has accounted for both passing and rushing touchdowns this season. On defense, senior defensive tackle Nicholas Lane has anchored the line with 2.0 sacks, and sophomore cornerback Rajon Fleurima leads the secondary with an interception.
