WEST PALM BEACH – Berean Christian (17-6) has been on a roll by winning five straight games going into the FHSAA state playoffs.

Berean Christian after district Title win

Berean Christian will face off against Boca Christian (16-8) for the fourth time this season. The series has been lopsided as the Lady Bulldogs seem to have the Lady Blazers number, winning all three previous matchups.

The closest the Lady Blazers came to winning was at 52-42 loss to the Lady Bulldogs during the regular season.

The Lady Bulldogs have a solid team with eighth grader Kalia LaBrec, who leads the team in scoring. Head coach Kevin Green has done a great job preparing his young squad each week, along with assistant coach Samara Auguste.

Boca Christian head coach Nhu Nyguen has his young squad competitive and looking for an upset in tonight’s matchup.

The Lady Blazers have a nice rotation of players that have size and are able to score in the paint. Sophomore Abigail Quinn leads Boca Christian in scoring and her aggressive style of play keeps the Lady Blazers in games.

This Class 2A-Region 4 quarterfinal game will tip off at 7 p.m. tonight (Feb. 9). The game will be located at Berean Christian School’s gymnasium in West Palm Beach.
