TREASURE COAST – We have reached District Championship Night.
In the Treasure Coast area, all regular season games were completed last week. And for the district tournament games, most of them have been finished as well.
Only two Treasure Coast teams will be playing for their respective district titles tonight (Feb. 3), and it does not include top-ranked Vero Beach (12-12).
Instead, it includes second-ranked Jensen Beach (16-5), which vaulted up two spots from last week.
Depending on how Jensen Beach fares in tonight’s District 14-5A title game against American Heritage (Plantation) (18-7), we may be seeing the Lady Falcons at No. 1 next week.
The other team participating in a district title game tonight is not in the Top 10 this week.
