West Palm Beach, FL – A historic season for the Palm Beach Atlantic basketball program came to an end Tuesday Night at Lynn. The Sailfish finish the season 17-12 with many accolades to be tallied.

Best Start in School History (15-3)

Defeated National #1 Nova Southeastern.

Reached the National Top-25 for the first time in school history, Peaking at #16.

Multiple SSC Honors: Josh Ward 2x Player of the Week, 1x Defensive Player of the Week. Jamaal Walker 1x Player of the Week.

In addition to these honors, Junior Guard Josh Ward was named to the All-SSC Second Team and the All-SSC Defensive Team. Ward, who transferred from Life University, was the most impactful player for the Fish this season, leading the squad in Points, Assists, and Steals.

The Sailfish pioneered through adversity the whole season. In the first half of the first game of the season, Junior guard Trent McNair sustained a lower leg injury that would sideline him for the whole season. Seniors Will Lee and Jakob Hester also were sidelined for a few games throughout the season.

Looking forward, PBA will be just fine next season and beyond, Barring any moves in the transfer portal, They’ll retain their main man Josh Ward, as well as key pieces in Jose Tanchyn, Broderick Ellis, and Graham Worland. Trent McNair will also be available and we should see more action from Guard Kollin Claridy, who had many positive moments in the minutes he received this season.

Coach Cole Rose will also use his elite recruiting skills to bring in more talent from all over the Southeast and beyond.

This season was just the start of what could become another Division 2 Powerhouse.
