BOCA RATON, FL – In a season that saw dominant performances from all parts of the county, one team stood out above them all.

The Saint Andrews Scots out of Boca Raton made it to the 2M Playoffs last season but fell to Calvary Christian in a close battle, ending their season at 7-4. This year the Scots came in using that loss as motivation. Being led by offensive standouts, Teddy Hoffman, Jackson Parke and Dylan Mayers under center.

St. Andrews started off the 2023-24 season on a hot streak opening their season up with a thrilling double OT win over the King’s Academy at home, followed with a beatdown performance over fellow Boca school Saint John Paul II, along with another overtime win over a very dominant rival West Boca Raton to kick off a 3-0 start to the season. Although they lost to a dominant NSU team the week after it was a minor setback as the team would win out every game afterwords, outscoring opponents 264-48.

Finishing the regular season 9-1, St. Andrews looked to be on top of the world as they faced a familiar foe in the playoffs. However, the run would end the same way as it did last year coming up short against Calvary Christian.

Despite the short coming, the Scots season was nothing but noticeable as St. Andrews had taken their seat at the table of Palm Beach County’s elite teams this year. Many have taken notice of the quick rise of the Scots, including college programs. In December, Dylan Mayers had announced his commitment to Texas A&M as a PWO.

In addition, the team had collected numerous accolades and awards from some of South Florida’s Preston media outlets, including Palm Beach Post and Sun Sentinel. Here’s the hardware that St. Andrews brought in during the post-season award period.
