WEST PALM BEACH- King’s Academy running back, Marion Victor (’24) has been one of Palm Beach County’s best backs since the beginning of the season.

Victor, a shifty 5 foot 11 runner has exploded onto the scene for his senior season. At this time, Marion does not have any “committable” offers, but has received serious interest from UVA, Syracuse, FAU, Fordham, Holy Cross, Stetson, and Georgetown.

Recently, in TKA’s 40-34 overtime upset at True North Classical (October 20), Marion Victor eclipsed the 1,000 rushing yards mark on the season. Marion continued to shine against the Titans, bringing his season statistics to 1,109 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns.

Marion has the highest amount of respect for his offensive line, citing that he wouldn’t achieve this milestone without the big guys up front.

“Rushing for 1,000 yards is a great milestone. It’s been something that my o-line and I work set as a goal, and we worked everyday from spring, summer workouts and in season to make happen.” Victor said. “I’m truly thankful for my guys up front, I couldn’t do it without them.”

As I said earlier, Marion has been a key contributor for TKA’s 7-1 record, and district championship. He’s a flashy runner with elite ball-carrier vision and timing. Victor is a patient runner that waits for his line to open gaps rather than forcing it.

When asked about his thoughts on his senior season, Marion said:

“This senior season has been an absolute blessing.” Victor said. “The team is really shaping together and we’re continuing to get better after every game, win or loss. This TKA team is special, and I’m excited to lead my team on and off the field into the playoffs.”

Marion has vocally sang the praises of his quarterback, Joe Dailey. Their connection and chemistry is unmatched, and you can see it on the field. After practice, this duo stays late, working on little details or breaking down film. Their preparation and diligence shows why Victor and Dailey have been top players at their position this season.

When asked about his relationship with Dailey, Marion said:

“Joe’s been one of my best friends on and off of the field. He’s a great player and an even better friend, he has a bright future ahead of him and I know I’ll always be cheering for my brother.” Victor said. “With the help him and our coaches all of the skill positions really blend together nicely.”

After an unexpected bye week, Marion Victor and the Lions will travel to face Benjamin on November 3rd. Kickoff is slated for 6:30 P.M.
