EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ. – Another hot morning in north New Jersey across the Hudson River from a very hazy New York City was in full effect this morning as the Giants turned up the competition at practice today.

There was not an empty seat at practice today and there was barely any standing room available for fans on the fence, as many in the fanbase share the same sentiment, that sentiment is one simple word: Hope.
Jaxson Dart: 1st Team Reps – A Sign for Things to Come
Dart came into practice today sharing first team reps with Russell Wilson, showing Dart’s developing at a very fast and progressive rate. Dart was able to show the fans what he could do by getting it done in the air, and on the ground with his feet.

Walking the Tightrope – A Wide Receiver’s Side Hustle
Usually during training camp, fans are lucky to even get one highlight reel worthy play, in today’s case the fans were treated to multiple highlight reel catches from their wide receiver room.
Starting off with yet another deep ball connection from Russell Wilson to Malik Nabers, something that Giants fans will definitely be seeing a lot of this year.

This was then followed by Wilson finding Jalin Hyatt on a nice ball towards the sideline. Hyatt poised for a breakout this year showed a nice flash of potential by reeling this pass in on the sideline.

Followed up by an insane one-handed snag from Montrell Washington placed up by Jaxson Dart, which has officially ended up on Sportscenter.
Washington, who’s entering his fourth year in the NFL after spending the last two seasons with the Chiefs, is looking to finally breakout and play a real role on a roster.

Terrifying Defense
While the offense was the real talking point of the day, the defense had its moments and when they did, they were big.
The edge rushing duo of Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibedeaux once again had their way on defense. If one player couldn’t reach the Quarterback, the other one was definitely making it.
A big moment in practice came today from Jevon Holland, the safety signed during free agency from the Miami Dolphins locked down a pass from Russell Wilson and almost managed to take it to the house during the 11v11 scrimmage period, garnering a massive roar from the crowd as he tailed down the sideline.

Final Thoughts From Today
The team is showing more trust and more investment in the development of Jaxson Dart, having him take reps on the first team today with Russell Wilson shows that he is showing a level of mental maturity that the Giants have been looking for in a young quarterback.
With Cam Skattebo injured, the running back room competition was definitely open for grabs, Tyrone Tracy took reps with the first team, while Devin Singletary and Dante Miller split time on the second team. Leaving many to see what could come from the backfield this year.
The receiver room looks to be heading in the right direction, with a clear choice in WR1 with Malik Nabers, and Darius Slayton likely being the WR2, many receivers made cases as to why they should be considered the WR3. Hyatt, Robinson, and Beaux Collins all made convincing arguments today.
The offensive line looks to be adjusting and catching on to a high pressure defensive lineup, which could spell good news when it comes to actual games as last year the Giants were bottom five in sacks allowed.
