Breaking: Florida Atlantic earns yet another elite local commitment in American Heritage Plantation LB Dylan Bennett. Bennett chose Zach Kittley and the Owls over in-state recruiting competitor UCF, per Marlon Williams- NewEraPrep National Recruiting Scout.
Dylan Bennett, a 6 foot 220 LB/RB was a defensive force to be reckoned with for the Patriots, totaling 70 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 7 sacks, 1 fumble recovery and 3 touchdowns during his senior campaign. Bennett, a Palm Beach County native, spent his freshman and sophomore seasons at Cardinal Newman before taking his talents to the Broward County powerhouse. Now it’s time for Dylan Bennett to make a return to his hometown and fortify the Owls’ defense. Last season, Florida Atlantic’s starting LBs Leon Hart and Tyler Stolskey both tallied over 90 tackles on the year. The addition of Dylan Bennett provides yet another hard hitting ball hawk that’ll fortify the middle for the Owls’ defense.
