AUSTIN, TX. – The University of Texas has been making waves in the recruiting and trasnfer portal the past couple of seasons, especially among Quarterbacks, and now, they’ve added another big name to an already historically prestigious QB Room.

Meet Dia Bell, if you’re already familiar with him, you should know exactly why he’s going to Texas. If you’re not familiar, then let’s get familiar with him.

The five-star Quarterback hails from Fort Lauderdale, Florida and plays for national powerhouse American Heritage-Plantation. Bell started to gain national recognition after a baller sophomore year where he would start every game and lead the team to the state championship game. In this season, Bell posted nearly 2,000 yards and boasted a 20-4 TD/INT Ratio.

The son of former NBA defender Raja Bell has his own glory to brag about. Bell is currently the No. 10 overall prospect in the nation, No. 3 quarterback in the nation, and No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Florida according to 247 Sports.

Texas managed to beat out Miami, LSU, and Ohio State among other schools that had given him offers, and the good news is, he still isn’t done showing Texas who they got coming. With two more years left to go at American Heritage, there is so much that Bell can do to show that Texas has a big offensive threat coming to their campus in a couple of years.

Along with that, Bell’s freshman year at Texas can see him learning the ropes behind eventual Redshirt-Junior Arch Manning along with 2025 Commit and 7v7 teammate KJ Lacey.

Bell has a lot of momentum coming into his junior year, with his newly cemented commitment to Texas along with what could be American Heritage’s hardest schedule to date which contains Chaminade-Madonna, Miami Central, Miami Norland, and St. Thomas Aquinas all on the road. There is no doubt that all eyes will be on the Five-Star 2026 QB this season.
