Finally, Coconut Creek faced off against Port St. Lucie in the final.
Coconut Creek was out in front for a good part of the title game. At one point, it had a 16-9 lead over Port St. Lucie.
But with less than six minutes left, Port St. Lucie’s offense used their chemistry, energy, and poise to pick apart Coconut Creek’s defense on the ensuing drive. It resulted in a touchdown pass and one-point conversion pass from junior quarterback Jordan Quillen (2025), making the game a 16-16 tie.
And then the next play happened.
Seemingly out of nowhere, sophomore athlete Antonio Richardson (2026) stepped in front of a Cocount Creek receiver and caught a game-turning interception. This gave Port St. Lucie a 19-16 lead in which it would not relinquish.
The tournament-winning play was the very next one.
On first down, Quillen threw a short pass to Richardson. But a potential short gain turned into an end zone situation as the Jaguars 2026 sensation was not touched en route to a score and a 25-16 lead.
Port St. Lucie withstood a late touchdown from Coconut Creek to hold on for its 25-22 win.
