BOYNTON BEACH, FLA. – Regular season action is back underway in Palm Beach County and the results across the county were definitely a mixed bag.

Tonight, Somerset in Boynton hosted the Melbourne Central Catholic Hustlers in a cross county matchup, as Melbourne made the trek all the way from Brevard to be here.

Action opened up quickly as Brogan McNab found Grady Bonenberge on a quick slant to put the Hustlers up 7-0 in the first.

The contest for the remainder of the half was pretty even as the next touchdown wouldn’t come until the end of the half where ATH Noah Flores broke through four Somerset defenders to pound it in the endzone to put MCC up 14-0.

Action would resume after halftime with both teams dealing blows and short lived offensive drives with no end goal in sight.

Eventually, MCC would get back on the board after a faulty snap from the Somerset offense forced a fumble in the end zone, as the Hustlers would take a 21-0 lead over the Canyon Cougars.

To even further the gap, MCC would score one more time as Flores would get his second touchdown of the night by recovering a fumble that bounced off of a player from an option pitch. Putting the Hustlers up 28-0.

Just as the blowout was imminent Somerset would finally get their first points of the night with just under two minutes left in the game, as Mason Hall would throw a deep ball out to Phillip Michely to cut the deficit down 35-7.
