Orlando, FL. – Inter Miami made a historic win in Central Florida Sunday night in the Florida Derby against their rival, Orlando City, 4-2. This is the first time Miami has won in an away game in Orlando in its history.

Both teams had a rough start to the season as Inter Miami was shut out by LAFC (3-0) and Orlando City lost at home against New York Red Bulls (2-1) last Saturday night, but both played better in the first half than in their last games.

Orlando City drew first blood when De Paul attempted to pass to Mura, but was intercepted by Angulo, who raced left field, crossing the ball to Pasalic, who took a shot as the ball deflected off Goalkeeper St.Clair’s hands into the net.

Minutes later, Orlando was able to score once again, with Dorsey running towards the box and passing to Ojeda, who passed it back to Dorsey, who tapped it back for Ojeda to have a one-touch toe shot into the net to take the lead 2-0 in the first half

Miami was able to land its first points of the season when Silvetti, shortly after being subbed in, received a pass from Segovia, sending the ball flying from outside the box into the net, out of the reach of Orlando’s Goalkeeper Crepaeu.

Miami was able to tie the game with a pushing force from De Paul, who took the ball upfield with a pass to Messi, then Messi to Berterame, who lent the ball to Allende and Silvetti, leaving the ball to Segovia, who lastly gave it to Messi, who took a shot into the back of the net away from Crepaeu’s hands for goal

Miami, who was losing 2-0 in the first half make their comeback in the 85th minute with a cross from Berterame to Messi, who tapped the ball to Segovia, who took a shot and scored into the net.

In the 88th minute, Orlando Defender Guske makes a mistake pushing Messi as he rushes downfield, which ultimately costs him his second yellow of the match, leaving Orlando City down to 10 men and a 25-yard free kick for Inter Miami

To seal the deal, Messi shoots the ball around the man wall into a low, driven shot into the goal that lands under the hands of Crepaeu

Inter Miami wins its first game of the season and will travel to M&T Bank Stadium to face off against DC United (1-1). Next Saturday at 4:30 PM

Orlando City will be in search of their first win in Yankee Stadium in their first away match against NYCFC (1-1-0) next Saturday at 2:30 PM
