As previously stated by NewEraPrep’s Dan Calvelli in his article announcing the news last night, De Paul will not occupy a Designated Player spot on the roster, with Lionel Messi, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba serving as the DP’s.
Calvelli also speculated in his piece that “With Busquets’ contract expiring at the end of the season and no renewal talks underway, a potential DP slot could open for De Paul in 2025. Alba recently extended his deal through 2027.”
