Jacksonville Jaguars host Girls Flag College Showcase

JACKSONVILLE- This past Sunday (February 18) the Jacksonville Jaguars Community Impact hosted the Girls Flag College Showcase where many flag athletes from all over Florida as well as some in Georgia showcased themselves in front of multiple college flag coaches.

In this three-hour-long event once again mainly assembled by Adriel Rocha Flag Athletes participated in various drills and exercises to improve the Girls perfect their craft.

The showcase started with a few words from Adriel as well as a former football player then the girls were separated into their own groups.

The event had multiple coaches and volunteers have stations where the girls could learn good warm-ups, and exercises to train better and play safer.

Afterward, all athletes were separated by offense and defense.

Offensive players were working in stations where Quarterbacks could practice throwing while running in motion to Wide receivers.

Defensive players ran flag pull drills attempting to stop the receiver from getting past them

Then, all athletes came together and were separated into four groups where they would then run one-on-one routes.

Each Quarterback and Receiver had their own choice of routes, where they could work creatively together and showcase their talent as well as the defense athletes which was main goal to stop them.

Finally, all the athletes were dismissed and got the chance to talk with the College Flag Coaches where they could send films, ask questions, and learn from them.
