The Jacksonville Jaguars have officially announced their 53-man roster for the upcoming 2026 season. The Jaguars are coming off a 13-4 season that saw head coach Liam Coen revitalize the culture of the team as the team went on to win the AFC South and host a playoff game.
Cut day for the Jaguars didn’t include many surprises, but general manager James Gladstone was active as he traded for second-year quarterback Quinn Ewers with the Miami Dolphins. Ewers is expected to slot in as the teams new backup for Trevor Lawrence.
If there was any surprise with who Jacksonville decided to cut, Jabbar Muhammad would top the list. Muhammad played in all three preseason games and was responsible for the pass breakup against the Saints that clinched the game. Muhammad did clear waivers and was signed back to the teams practice squad.
With the offseason loss of Devin Lloyd and the cuts of Jack Kiser, Jalen McLeod, and Yasir Abdullah the Jaguars will open thin at the linebacker position, but Gladstone has shown willingness to make big moves for positions of need.
