The path for two consecutive SSAA State Titles has been set for the Jupiter Christian Eagles, and tonight they showcased exactly why they’re the top team in the Sunshine State Conference.
The Eagles faced off against the Out-Of-Door Academy Thunder in the second round of the SSAA Playoffs, and let’s just say there was no stopping Jupiter Christian. JCS drew first blood tonight on the defensive side of the ball, as EDGE Pierce Fletcher would force a sack safety. The Eagles’ defense was relentless, recording multiple sacks, one Interception and two fumble recoveries, one of which returned for a touchdown.

The Eagles’ junior phenom QB Dorian Fauntleroy would get in on the scoring action, recording one touchdown in the air, and one on the ground. Fauntleroy was dynamic as ever, scampering around in the run game all night picking up huge chunks of yardage.
As for his passing touchdown- it was a thing of beauty. Fauntleroy dropped back, stepped up and launched a 33 yard strike that perfectly hit WR/DB Luke Beach in stride, who waltzed into the end zone for an easy 6.

Following the statement win, Jupiter Christian HC Baz Alfred had this to say about his squad’s performance:
“I’m very excited about this win, and I’m excited to play next week. We accomplished everything we set out do this week.” Coach Alfred shared. “Defense was flying around hitting people, we wanted to be aggressive tonight … we knew we had to set the tone early.”
Jupiter Christian has now advanced to the SSAA State Semifinals, where the Eagles will face off against the Nova Southeastern Sharks. This highly anticipated rematch from week one will be hosted at Palm Beach Gardens High.
