WEST PALM BEACH – Today (June 24), teams from all over Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast traveled to Keiser University to compete in its 7v7. Tournament.
Hosted by ESPN, this event featured a bracket of sixteen teams broken off into four pools. Let’s take a look at the results of the pool play:

After the pool play, the remaining eight teams competed in single elimination games. The results of those games were:
Fort Pierce Westwood over the following teams:
John I. Leonard (first round)
St. Andrew’s (quarterfinal)
Palm Beach Gardens (semifinal)
Vero Beach over the following teams:
Somerset Academy Canyons (first round)
Martin County (quarterfinal)
King’s Academy (semifinal)
Finally, Vero Beach faced off against Fort Pierce Westwood in the finals.
Early on, heavily favored Vero Beach took a quick 13-0 lead over Fort Pierce Westwood.
But as the game progressed, Fort Pierce Westwood steadily kept taking control away from Vero Beach with timely defensive stop and some offensive movement on its own.
Finally, Fort Pierce Westwood (7-0) was crowned today’s champion. This was due to a 23-20 comeback effort that was completed with 44 seconds left, when quarterback Joseph Weathers (2026) found athlete Traveon Townsend (2026) in the middle of the field to rattle Vero Beach.
After Fort Pierce Westwood withstood a furious final offensive drive from Vero Beach in the final seconds, they celebrated their tournament win in style by flashing their 23-20 comeback triumph to the tune of a $1,000 check.
Athletes Braylon Vincent and Jaylyn Monds (2024 class) were named the Tournament Co-MVP’s.
