PALM BEACH GARDENS – This group signing ceremony was quick, easy, and simple yesterday morning (Feb. 26) at Palm Beach Gardens High School.
Three Gators seniors had their minds made up at least three weeks before making it official. All they want to do is continue making memories together on and off the field.
Decorri Brown (lineman), Owen Delhomme (wide receiver/defensive back), and Emanes Dorelus (lineman) will move on from Palm Beach Gardens to Keiser once they graduate in May. The signing moment represents the beginning of that change process for them.
“It feels good,” Brown said. “I get to continue playing ball with two close friends that I’ve been playing with since our freshman year.”
Dorelus shared the same sentiment after the ceremony.
“It feels great that I get to play ball again with my brothers,” Dorelus said. “Signing day was a success. Can’t wait to start working.”
Palm Beach Gardens High School principal Don Hoffman expresses his thoughts of the group signing on his Twitter account.
“Keiser U just locked down 3 greater Gators for next season,” Hoffman said. “Amazing student athletes.”
Hoffman had a message for Brown, Delhomme, and Dorelus.
“I’m so happy that your hard work has earned you a next level,” Hoffman said. “You deserve this opportunity.”
NOTES: Keiser will now have at least four players from the Palm Beach Gardens program: starting quarterback Eli Matthews (2017 alum), Brown, Delhomme, and Dorelus.
Overall, Keiser has gained 10 Palm Beach County players from the Class of 2020, which include the Palm Beach Gardens trio, plus Verwayne Alexander (Boynton Beach defensive back), Jordan Cash (Atlantic wide receiver), Connor Hone (Jupiter Christian quarterback), Shaun Tanner (Forest Hill defensive end/tight end), B.J. Thompson (Atlantic offensive lineman), Patrick Tobin (Wellington long snapper), and Cameron Williams (Benjamin defensive lineman).
