WEST PALM BEACH – Cardinal Newman has many underclassmen who can produce on the field at any time.
One of the standouts that the Crusaders have on their loaded roster is Jaylin Brown (2025 ATH). The two-way player has just come off an unofficial visit this weekend to NC State and made the most of his time there.
With that said, the Cardinal Newman incoming junior is focused on the summer camp and 7-on-7 offseason. For example, he went to the USF 7-on-7 Tournament with his teammates, where they reached the title game earlier this month.
The next 7-on-7 appearance will be at Keiser this upcoming Saturday (June 24). Brown and his teammates will be one of the favorites to win Palm Beach Countyâs premier 7-on-7 event of the summer.
Brown also plans to attend two more 7-on-7 tournaments this summer at Florida and Florida State.
When the summer offseason ends in late July, Brownâs attention will shift to his upcoming junior season with Cardinal Newman.
This year could shape up to be a building block from last yearâs sophomore campaign, which resulted in the following statistics for Brown:
â˘640 total yards
â˘13 total touchdownsÂ
âMy sophomore season went great,â Brown said. âMy freshman year wasnât as good. But I picked up the slack on my sophomore year and really opened a lot of coaches eyes. My best moment was my Doral Academy game, when I had three touchdowns with 165 yards. The coaches really loved that.â
Brown shared his vision for this fall campaign.
âMy goals for the upcoming season is to add some receiving touchdowns to my stats and hit 1,500 yards with 15+ touchdowns,â Brown said. âI also want to see all my â24 teammates go to the college theyâve always wanted to go to and achieve their dreams.â
We are looking for Brown to have his best individual season yet at Cardinal Newman. The vision is set for the action to happen and be realized in real time.
