Miami, FL – FIU’s QB1 has been one of the 80 players named to the Maxwell Award watchlist. The Maxwell Award goes to “the most outstanding player in the sport, recognizing excellence on the field and exceptional contributions to the game.” The award is named after Robert “Tiny” Maxwell.
The most recent Maxwell winners include Ashton Jeanty, Michael Penix, Caleb Williams, and Bryce Young.
In 2024, the Miami Central product threw 188/264 passes for 2,457 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Coming into year three, Keyone’s Panthers were ranked 4th in the CUSA in ESPN’s Power Index.
FIU opens the 2025 season August 29th vs Bethune Cookman, and then will travel to Happy Valley to play Penn State on September 6th.
The winner of the Maxwell Award will be announced December 11, 2025 on ESPN,
