Earlier today, EASports released their exclusive ’99 Club’ for Madden NFL 26.
For those unfamiliar with the game, Madden NFL is the exclusive video game for the National Football League. Madden’s 99 Club is the grouping of the highest rated players in the game, rated at a 99 overall. The player with the most 99 ratings in game history is future First Ballot Hall of Fame DT Aaron Donald, with 7 consecutive appearances (Madden 18-24).
For this year’s exclusive fraternity, EA announced seven of the League’s stars would be receiving honors. Those seven include:
Lamar Jackson: QB Baltimore Ravens
Josh Allen: QB, Buffalo Bills
Ja’Marr Chase: WR, Cincinnati Bengals
Myles Garrett: EDGE, Cleavland Browns
Lane Johnson: OL, Philadelphia Eagles
SaQuon Barkley: RB, Philadelphia Eagles
Justin Jefferson: WR, Minnesota Vikings

In this exclusive list, one name stands out from the rest: Lamar Jackson. This marks the second consecutive 99Club appearance for Jackson at launch. It should come as no surprise that Lamar Jackson stands as one of the most broken athletes to ever grace video games, when he quite literally plays in real life like he’s a custom player. There’s simply no game planning against Lamar, only delaying the inevitable.

During the 2024-25 season, Lamar Jackson recorded his first 4,000 yard and 40 touchdown year, throwing for 4,172 and 41 scores. Jackson led the League with a 77.3 QBR and added another 915 yards and 4 scores on the ground. This annual dynamic domination helped Lamar secure numerous accolades, including finalist for the NFL’s MVP and Offensive Player of the Year.
What’s the next milestone that the Boynton High alum can achieve? The world will surely find out soon.
