Film Breakdown:
As previously stated, Camdin Portis is an elite nickel specialist. He does an excellent job at reading the field, and recognizing plays before they begin. Portis possesses elite speed and footwork, which he uses to his advantage. While at Nickel, Portis does an excellent job at deflecting plays before they begin, by gettin into the backfield and hitting the QB, RB or disrupting Option schemes.
Like most defensive backs, Portis is definitely an ankle biter, however multiple plays on his tape show his ability to lay his shoulder down and bring the boom when he needs to.
Camdin Portis becomes the 3rd commit in the 2026 ‘Canes Recruiting Class, joining 4-Star LB Jordan Campbell and 4-Star QB Dereon Coleman. The addition of Portis brings Miami’s ’26 class to the #21 class, per the 24/7 Composite.
