Xavier Restrepo is now the University of Miami’s career receptions leader and career receiving yards leader. Restrepo, one of the top receivers in college football, entered this afternoon’s game 3rd in career yards (2,427), sitting behind Santana Moss and Reggie Wayne, and second in catches (174), behind Mike Harley.
It was clear that Miami’s gameplan for their matchup vs Duke revolved solely around Restrepo. The 5 foot 11, speedy wideout from Deerfield Beach, Florida went ballistic today, hauling in 8 grabs for 146 yards and 3 touchdowns. Restrepo secured this momentous accomplishment with this 66 yard touchdown grab.
Xavier Restrepo solidified himself amongst some of Miami’s all time legends, however the job isn’t done. Miami, now 9-0 on the year, has their eyes set on the upcoming ACC Championship, alongside a berth to the 12-Team College Football Playoff.
