Christian Proscia is a Multi-Media Photo Journalist that covers local high school, NCAA and Professional Sports. Proscia does it all- boasting experience as a reporter, photographer, videographer, social media manager and the host of the NewEraPrep Show Podcast. Christian is currently enrolled as a student at Florida Atlantic, studying in the School of Communications and Multimedia Studies Collegiately- Christian has experience working with multiple high major college football teams, including the University of Miami, Florida State, and the University of Michigan. Proscia has also covered two NCAA Tournaments, including the 2023 Final 4. Professionally- Christian provides on site coverage of Inter-Miami CF, the Miami Marlins and numerous NFL sanctioned events such as the NFL Combine, Draft and SuperBowl. Outside of NewEraPrep, Christian serves as the photographer for Florida Atlantic’s Softball team, and is also a coach for Palm Beach Elite 7v7.

Chad Washington is a graphic designer and brand creator for many organizations throughout Florida. Washington graduated from Timber Creek High School (Orlando) in 2023 and is currently a student at Palm Beach Atlantic University (‘27) studying Business Administration. Initially picking up design as a hobby, Chad started off with the VNN Sports Crew at Timber Creek HS, designing graphics for the school athletics website, which attracted the most viewers in the nation during his senior year (22-23). In late 2023 Chad created CW Sports Media to assist programs in building their digital brands. Throughout this he’s worked with many top teams and events throughout the state. He joined the New Era Prep “Game of The Week” crew as a graphic designer and live content creator. Outside of graphic design, Chad is building a name for himself in the Sports Administration field, working with the 2024 AAU Volleyball Junior National Championship, as well as working Florida Citrus Sports throughout bowl season. Some of Chad’s interests include graphic designing and running.

Robbie Lastella is a writer currently covering College football in the South Florida area, as well as NFL News for NewEraPrep. Prior to writing & editing for NewEraPrep, Robbie was as a full time beat reporter for FAU Owls Nest, covering Florida Atlantic Athletics with a main beat of football, basketball and softball. He has also covered three consecutive NCAA Men’s basketball tournaments, most recently for Bracketeer.Org, producing a variety of pieces on teams throughout the tournament. A proud supporter of animal rescue, when not watching sports you can find Robbie taking care of his dog Spice.

Deuntay Johnson is a photographer with NewEra Prep. He mainly covers Broward County school sports. Deuntay became a photographer 6 years ago but started in Fashion Photography. Not finding it a good fit, switched over to Sports Photography in 2022 where he found his passion for Sports Photography. Ever since then, he’s been non stop. He finally found what he loves to do. “It’s the moments like these I love to capture. I have siblings that play sports & my family always told me to get into sports photography. Of course I didn’t listen & wanted to be the next big fashion photographer. I was given the opportunity at American Heritage to go out & take pictures for the girls soccer team. From that day forward, I realized that Sports Photography was my home.” Deuntay has had the honor to work with American Heritage Plantation, NFL Players, as well as being invited to NFL Players football camps. “This right here is only the beginning!”

Daniel Calvelli is a photographer/videographer at Liberty University. He is currently working with the Liberty women’s lacrosse team and volunteering with the Liberty University football team. Calvelli graduated from The King’s Academy (West Palm Beach, Fla.) in 2021. In his time at King’s Academy, he did photography for the athletic department and helped out the social media aspect of things as well, working directly under former TKA athletic director Chris Hobbs. After spending two years at Liberty working for both lacrosse programs and a semester with Liberty football, Dan decided to transfer down to Palm Beach Atlantic University where he currently is apart of their sports broadcasting program. On top of that he also is a part of the creative team for the PBA Sailfish Athletic Department.” Calvelli has always had a creative mind. Calvelli’s interests are playing lacrosse, photography, and lifting at the gym. He is a sneaker head.

July is currently working with 7v7 football team Florida Outlawz Elite as a videographer and photographer. July grew up watching many action and sports movies as a kid. And one day he picked up the camera and never let it go. He started shooting photography as a hobby during his freshman year of high school. And with thanks to his high school football team, his work has grown and received exposure throughout the district and state. He hopes to continue improving and do more of what he loves to do. July’s interests are music, photography, film, and hitting the gym.
