The Miami Hurricanes faced a tough end to their 2024 season, finishing with a 10-3 record after a loss to Iowa State in the Pop-Tarts Bowl, ending 42-41.
Miami’s quarterback, Cam Ward, decided to play in his last game as a Hurricane. Cam made three touchdown passes in just one half, helping him break the NCAA record for career passing touchdowns (156).

Running back Damien Martinez also had a standout performance, with 14 carries for 179 yards.
In the second half, Cam did not touch the field again, leaving backup quarterback Emory Williams to make plays for the Canes. Miami’s defense struggled against the Cyclones’ offense, led by quarterback Rocco Becht, who scored the game-winning touchdown with just 56 seconds left on the clock.
Williams carried the Canes on the last drive, which ended with a Hail Mary interception.
This defeat marked Miami’s sixth consecutive bowl game loss and their 12th in the last 13 bowl appearances, capping off a promising yet ultimately frustrating season.
