CORAL GABLES – The Miami Hurricanes have proven themselves to be the nation’s most improved team so far this year.

It has truly been a remarkable turnaround for the team since they finished the 2019 season with a 6-7 record. The suddenly lovable and exciting collective is now sitting with a 3-0 overall record (2-0 in ACC play), with wins over UAB (31-14 victory; Game 1), then-No. 18 Louisville (47-34 triumph; Game 2), and Florida State (52-10 blowout; Game 3).

As a result of this three-game win streak, Miami has jumped four spots from No. 12 to No. 8 in the latest Associated Press college football national rankings poll. The Hurricanes are also ranked at No. 8 in the latest Amway Coaches Poll, six spots up from last week’s No. 14 ranking.

Miami was ranked at No. 8 two years ago. It occurred in the 2018 preseason, when the ACC program was at that spot in both the AP & Amway Coaches polls.

The Coral Gables-based team will enjoy a bye this week. The next game for them will come in about two weeks, when they go on the road to face off against defending ACC champion Clemson, which is currently 2-0 and at No. 1 in both national polls.
