In a press release posted moments ago by the ‘Canes Athletics Department, Miami’s first year HC Jai Lucas provided the following statement:
“We are very excited to take part in the 2025 ESPN Events Invitational in November. It is an extremely strong tournament field, which will help prepare us for our conference schedule. We are appreciative of the opportunity and looking forward to competing against top-tier opponents.”
Miami’s 2025 acceptance marks the third appearance in the ESPN Events Invitational by the Hurricanes, who competed in the 2016 and 2021 tournaments. Like Coach Lucas stated, this will serve as an excellent opportunity to see what the ‘Canes are made of, headed into a grueling AAC schedule.
