Coral Gables, FL.- Dan Radakovich has found his replacement for Jim Larranaga. Duke associate head coach Jai Lucas is working toward a deal to become the next head coach of the Hurricanes.

Jai Lucas of the Duke Blue Devils coaching staff is currently serving as the associate head coach at Duke as he works under Jon Scheyer.

Lucas was hired by John Calipari in 2020 to be a special assistant and main recruiter at Kentucky. In the 2021–22 season, Lucas was ranked as the second-best recruiter in the country, just after Jon Scheyer, who was the associate head coach at Duke.

Lucas played a key role in recruiting Cooper Flagg, along with Cameron Boozer, Cayden Boozer, Shaedon Sharp, Cason Wallace, and several others.
