WELLINGTON – Camron Mirtil made a stunning announcement earlier today (Sept. 20) on social media.
The senior cornerback and wide receiver revealed that he is transferring from Jupiter Christian to Palm Beach Central.
“I’m attending Central now as a new student,” the 6-foot-1, 160-pound two-way player said. “I’m motivated to being bonded and getting chemistry with the Broncos this year. We’re going to do great.”
Mirtil (No. 5 cornerback in Palm Beach County) is coming off a solid junior season at Jupiter Christian. In 10 games played. he recorded 2 interceptions on defense, while adding 40 catches for 428 yards on offense with 1,200+ all-purpose yards and 3 touchdowns.
“I started to blow a little on football my junior year at Jupiter [Christian],” said Mirtil, who started at Lake Worth and then Olympic Heights before blossoming this past season.
Due to his stellar junior season at Jupiter Christian, Mirtil gained two college scholarship offers from Keiser and Graceland. We will see if more comes his way at some point.
Now that Mirtil is set at Palm Beach Central, he will be ready to go for the Broncos first official practice of the season, which is set for tomorrow afternoon (Sept. 21).
And from there, Mirtil and the Broncos will embark on a 6-game regular season and tri-county bowl game, which will start on Oct. 30 and end on Dec. 19.
“I’m just hoping Palm Beach County Season can get started and finish through the whole season,” Mirtil said.
We will all know soon enough.
