WEST PALM BEACH, FLA. – With the heavens opening up across the whole county, many if not all games including this one were put into a lightning delay to start things off.
With a 7:30pm kickoff time, Kings came out to a very mud ridden field, with cleats sticking to the ground with each step and football putting holes in the ground during punting practice, for some, it’s perfect playing conditions.
The game got off to an incredibly back and forth start as the first touchdown would come with less than five minutes left in the first quarter as Gulliver would try the short passing game on a screen play to Luc Carroll who went 46 yards to the house to get Gulliver out in front, however, Kings would block the PAT, limiting Gulliver to a 6-0 lead.
The entire second quarter would fly by as there was no score until the last twenty seconds.
Kings offense would be set up in a great spot after an interception from Tyce Porcher as the Lions would set up shop right outside the redzone.
Kings would slowly move their offense into the redzone, capping it off with a 4-yard rush from Levi Champion to take the lead.

Kings would extend their lead after a scoreless third quarter from both ends, as they would notch a field goal with 9 minutes left in the game, going up 10-6.
Gulliver, however would have other plans.
Going back to the short pass game, Champ Smith would take the short route more than 30 yards to give Gulliver back the lead. Followed up with a successful two-point conversion to go up 14-10.
Kings, as always would not give up without putting up a fight.
As time went down, Kings offense marched down the field and got into the redzone looking to score, however, Gulliver’s dominant passing defense would come up once again as they would take in their third interception of the game in crucial timing, looking to seal the game.
Kings defense stood strong forcing a three and out and forcing Gulliver to punt. After a roughing the punter penalty on the first go, Kings was given a second chance lifeline.
Unfortunately for the Lions, nature had played its role once again just as it had done all night, making the ball to slippery to receive and causing a muff on the punt return, giving the ball back to Gulliver to close the game out.
