JENSEN BEACH – When Elvick Previlma made the decision to finish his high school football career on the Treasure Coast, it turned into a big gain for both himself and the Jensen Beach Falcons.

It happened just before fall football practice began in late July.

Since then, the 5-for-11 athlete has been taking off.

There have been several games when the Wellington transfer stood out, one of which happened in Week 1 against Fort Pierce Central in a 28-0 road win.

Previlma’s magic continued in Week 2 against Dwyer.

Previlma spoke with New Era Prep about Jensen Beach’s 21-0 home win over Dwyer in Week 2.

Granted, Previlma has had several moments throughout the regular season at Jensen Beach. But no moment was greater than Week 9, when he posted 210 total yards, a touchdown on offense, and an interception on defense in his team’s 40-14 road win over Sebastian River on Oct. 20.

The Treasure Coast’s MVP of Week 9 spoke on his career-best overall performance to date.

“I scored in the second half,” Previlma said. “The game was 7-0. They were winning until second half, when our running back [Dominic Duran] scored. Then next drive I had got a great punt return. Then on the first play, I got a bomb fly route and caught it for a touchdown.”

“It feels great,” said Previlma, who has two offers from Keiser and Virginia University of Lynchburg. “I’m not done yet though. But I’m happy and I’ll continue to win more.”
