PALM BEACH GARDENS – Myron Levy has emerged as one of Palm Beach County’s best wide receivers in his senior season.

The 6-0, 170-pound playmaker had perhaps his best game yet in last week’s 35-3 home win over Park Vista. He caught two 50-yard touchdown pass from Gators junior quarterback Lynden Moss (15-of-20 passing, 284 yards, three touchdowns) and finished with four catches for 135 yards and the two scores.

Levy’s dominating performance was enough for him to be our MVP of Week 7.

“It’s a blessing,” Levy said. “I have been working for this since Week 1.”

Fellow senior wide receiver Raphael Vasquez was happy for Levy’s recognition.

“He’s come a long way,” said Vasquez, who caught four passes for 91 yards and a touchdown against Park Vista. “His leadership skills have gotten better since he got here. He’s been playing well for us. He deserves this award.”

Palm Beach Gardens assistant coach Rayfield Dixon spoke a little more about Levy’s honor.

“Myron is a hard working kid who approaches every day like it is game day,” Dixon said. “He deserves and appreciates the recognition. We’re proud of him.”

Levy currently has offers from FAU, St. Thomas, and Florida Memorial. He’s looking to gain more after his senior season ends.

But for now, Levy and Palm Beach Gardens (5-1; No. 3 in latest team rankings) will enjoy their bye week and be rested up for the Week 9 home tilt against Wellington.
