New Era Prep Watch List: Class of 2024

NEP Team

PALM BEACH COUNTY – For the first time, we are going to project who could rise to the top as incoming high school freshmen.

With the help and direction of our coaches in Palm Beach County, we will be able to get a first look at the Class of 2024. Their commentary means everything, which means we will take a back seat to them on this one.

NOTE: This initial 2024 Watch List is in alphabetical order.

•QB Tyler Aronson (Benjamin)

“Tyler looks like a senior in terms of his build as a 14-year old. He’s 6-1 and 200 pounds. He has been training with (Benjamin head coach) Eric Kresser since he was 5 years old. His arm talent and sound mechanics will rival the best quarterbacks in the area, possibly the state.” – Benjamin strength and conditioning coach Mike Colee

•RB Chauncey Bowens (Benjamin)

“Chauncey is 6-0 and 209 pounds. Like Tyler, he looks like a senior in terms of his build as a 14-year old. He has the combination of size, speed, and athleticism that will rival 17 and 18 year-olds in the area. He’s raw, but when he adds the mental side of learning a varsity offense to the physical tools he has, he can be special.” – Benjamin running backs coach/strength and conditioning coordinator Mike Colee

•ATH Patrick Downes (Delray Beach American Heritage)

“Patrick Downes (5-10, 185 lbs.) has the ability to play quarterback and will provide depth at that position, but can also play linebacker and make plays by covering kicks on special teams.” – American Heritage (Delray Beach) offensive coordinator Nick Martinez

•WR/DB Nolan Hollinger (Jupiter Christian)

Player entry submitted by Jupiter Christian head coach Baz Alfred

•WR Michael Manna (Delray Beach American Heritage)

“Michael Manna (6-3, 175 lbs.) made an immediate impact when called up to JV from middle school last year. He has size and athleticism to play multiple positions this upcoming season.” – American Heritage (Delray Beach) offensive coordinator Nick Martinez

•RB/LB Carlos Morales (Jupiter Christian)

Player entry submitted by Jupiter Christian head coach Baz Alfred

•DE/TE Ryan Vanscoy (Delray Beach American Heritage)

“Ryan Vanscoy (6-3, 185 lbs.) is a long, strong, instinctual player that can one day be one of the top defensive ends in the county.” – American Heritage (Delray Beach) offensive coordinator Nick Martinez

•RB Marion Victors (Berean Christian)

“Marion will be exciting to watch for the next four years. He has a great attitude and gathers information exceptionally well. As he continue to grows in his role at running back, you can see the leadership attributes flourishing already. This kid will be one of those guys you can’t take your eyes off in the near future.” – Berean Christian head coach Mario Jackson

NOTE: Victors received reps as an 8th grader last season for Berean Christian, and he is currently pushing for the starting job at running back as a freshman. He had 18 carries for 60 yards and 1 touchdown in 2019.

NEXT UPDATE: Most likely anytime between later in July and sometime in December
