The new look South Florida Bulls kick off its season in an exhibition facing the Saint Leo Lions. Head Coach Bryan Hodgson will make his debut after signing with the Bulls over the summer.

The revamped Bulls look to rebound from last season, finishing ninth in the American Conference with a 13-19 (6-12 in conference play) record and losing in the second round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament to Wichita State University.

Returning this season, senior De’Ante Green and sophomore guard CJ Brown, who was heavily recruited by other schools, chose to return to a haul of new teammates. Hodgson has brought in two players from his former team, Arkansas State, bringing in senior guards Izaiyah Nelson and Joseph Pinion.

Starting their collegiate career, freshman guard Gavin Hightower was a four-star recruit out of Sierra Canyon High School and was the 34th-ranked point guard on ESPN, 30th in his region and 15th in California.

Tipoff starts at 7 pm at the Yuengling Center.
